A versatile and experienced performer, Suzanne Miller became a member of the Binghamton Philharmonic viola section in 2003. She is a member of the Tri-Cities Opera Orchestra and has performed with the Schenectady Symphony, West Michigan Symphony, Syracuse Symphony, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and served as Assistant Principal Viola for the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes. Suzanne is also an experienced chamber musician having played in numerous ensembles across New York State. In addition she has performed in pit orchestras for many musicals, most recently in the premiere production of the chamber version of TITANIC at the Hangar Theater in Ithaca, NY.
As dedicated educator and trained Suzuki method teacher Suzanne has held positions as Lecturer at Ithaca College and was on faculty at the Ithaca Music Academy. She currently maintains a private teaching studio in Rexford, NY.
Suzanne received bachelor and master of music degrees from Ithaca College with a major in Viola Performance. She earned other graduate credits from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She has received training in the Suzuki Method at the Suzuki Institute in Ithaca, NY.
Suzanne currently serves as the Union Steward for the Binghamton Philharmonic and is proud to support her fellow musicians in this role.
