Jud joined the Binghamton Philharmonic trumpet section in the fall of 1984.  Having retired in 2010 from the Chenango Valley Central Schools after a 32-year career in music education, Jud now works part time as a supervisor for prospective music teachers through Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.  He is the author of “Echoes in the Valley,” a memoir and history of the drum & bugle corps activity in Watkins Glen, NY, his home town.  Jud and wife Rebecca (Philharmonic cellist) live just outside Binghamton with their three college children Samantha, Lucy and Michael.
