Looking Back on 2017: Pops Success

The Binghamton Philharmonic has met with success stories with recent pops concerts and collaborations.   On May 4, 2017, the orchestra observed this day special to Star Wars fans with a special concert with narrator, “The Music of ‘Star Wars’: The Symphony Strikes Back.”  The result was a sellout:

The Harry Potter events in Binghamton and Ithaca on October 27 and 28, 2017 came about in part thanks to an invitation from the organizers of Wizarding Weekend in Ithaca.  The concert at the Forum Theatre in Ithaca sold out, and the concert at the State Theatre in Ithaca was a near sellout:

The Philharmonic collaborated with Cirque Musica for “Cirque Musica Holiday Presents: Believe” at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena on December 7, 2017.  This exciting show also sold well and included various circus performers including acrobats and aerialists.
