Binghamton Philharmonic Bassoonist Melissa Kritzer and Reeds Amis enjoyed a successful trip to Japan.

The concerts on this tour included a performance at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Tokyo as well as a recital at Ishimori Winds in collaboration with composer and educator Kazuhiro Takeda. Part of the Fernande Decruck Project, Reeds Amis generated interest in the composer’s work through these two well-attended and enthusiastically received concerts.

Next, the trio is preparing for a master class and a recital at Pennsylvania State University as well as a recording of Decruck’s complete Reed Trios.
